Joe and I arrived at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort on October 29, 2011 (with our four rescue canine dependents) for a four month stay. This has been our first experience as "snow birds" and what a wonderful experience it has been. The resort is pretty and clean, and the staff and volunteers who work here are friendly and helpful. Check out their website at www.rvresort.com. We have made alot of new friends and have had so much fun.  Between the great sight-seeing trips on the Harley (a few of them were to Appalachicola, St. George Island, Navare Beach and the natural springs at  Wakulla State Park), the yummy food at nearby local restaurants, bicycle rides at the Nature Conservatory , and oh yes.....the visits and playtime  at the dog park, the pot luck dinners, shopping, poker runs for charity, the beautiful beach, local festivities ( the gumbo cook-off at Mexico Beach and the three Mardi Gras weekends  just to name two), and just sitting on the patio getting to know one another has made our time pass by so fast that it seems like yesterday we pulled in to site #83. If you travel with canine dependents, this is a resort you do not want to miss. Our puppies love the dog park here. It is grassy for rolling around in and big enough to play ball and fetch. There are waste stations and walks throughout the park. It is all paved or bricked except for the walk around the fishing lake and it is gravel. There is even a doggie bathing station. We will be packing to leave in 12 days. We are heading out west in April but will not return to Emerald Beach RV Resort next September.  We plan to go further south for warmer weather !inter!
