Dog Park, LVMS, and Introducing Pearl

Water is provided...

Clark County, Nevada has done it right! Just a mile and a half from Arizona Charlie's is the best and biggest public doggie park we have ever visited.

...it is well lit for after dark use...
...and has covered areas for sitting.

Jack and Wrecks are in ball playing heaven every morning!

There are 4 different huge fenced in areas and another even larger fenced in area with a walking path for humans to exercise while the pups play.

Sunday, March 10th was race day.

We had a great time...it was our 10th different race track. LVMS turned out to not be our favorite track, but can say,  "been there, done that"!  Might feel a wee bit different if #24 had had a better day!

And now....meet Pearl ! Joe and I spent last Saturday buying a new Jeep. We traded in the 2009 Dodge Journey for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport S.  It has a soft top with two doors and had 17 miles on it. Color : true blue pearl.

Last night Joe and I went to the strip. WOW, talk about camera overload! I only took about 300 pictures...will have to post those later. Tomorrow we have plans to go to Hoover Dam. We are sure enjoying out time in Las Vegas. The weather has been just perfect...warm days and cool nights.

Oh, I almost forgot. Thanks to Al at Travel With The Bayfield Bunch, we ended up at B&C Camera Shop (on W. Sahara Ave.) this morning. Al mentioned how much he liked his new BlackRapid shoulder strap. After a quick internet search, we found a dealer. What a nice store...and Rod was a huge help. I realize I have so much to learn about my camera...a Nikon D3100. I did not even realize I needed a filter on my lens to protect it...kind of like lens insurance.

I do hope you all have a great rest of the week. Thanks for stopping by. We do appreciate your comments so if you have time, leave us one! Y'all come back!

  3. Now you can go on all those 'Jeep' type roads in the back country. Just like Al & Kelly do. Rattle your bones somewhat though. Congratulations on your new addition.

  4. With these warm days, you need to put your top down and take a drive to Valley of Fire. It sure makes for a better drive without the top.

Love the new Jeep! We got ours in Bakersfield,CA. We had been towing a tandom trailer with a motorcycle and car for two and a half years. We hadn't been using the motorcycle at all. And it was such a pain to park unless you had a long pull through. So, we sold the bike and trailer on Craig's List. Now we had a car that couldn't be towed four down. Oh, well, we always wanted a Jeep so off went to Bakersfield Jeep. We now have a white Wrangler Unlimited hard top four door. The front two panels are so quick and easy to remove and stow in the back. Also, out bicycles fit inside the back with the seat down...a must for my husband.
We just love it. We really broke it in with our visit to Sedona. Boy did it get red everywhere! Anza Borrego State Park in CA gave us our toughest challenges with off road driving...great fun with your heart in your throat.

When I saw Dog Park in your title, I thought oh, no, because I knew Arizona Charlie's had a small one. Glad there is such a great place near by. Dog Heaven!

    Enjoy your Vegas time.
