Quechee KOA

Good times rollin rolled in to White River Junction, VT last Wednesday. What a very nice surprise. The KOA is small(only 92 sites), well landscaped with lots of planters and green grass, clean, and very friendly and cozy. Mike and Cindy are the owners and have worked very hard to provide a nice place for RVers and campers to call home. There is a new doggie park big enough for the boys to play ball and the girls to explore. We had site 5, a nice pull-thru.

Dover...to dig or not to dig?

Jack...what a little athlete!

Sally...is that Luna coming to play?

Wrecks...total concentration!!!
The KOA "5er" parked 2 sites down.
Bryant and Ann...Bryant is 81. Three years ago he and Ann rode their bikes, camped in a tent or cabins, and went to California and back...they are planning a north to south trip for the future. What an inspiration to us all....that's living. Ann says she misses home sometimes, but was quick to add "home is in your heart". Thanks for sharing your time with us. We might just see you both in Key Largo!

Friday's Adventure

Steve leading the way.
During our several visits to the doggie park, we met Lilly. There is a picture of Lilly and Sally in an earlier post. Lilly's human parents are Steve and Barbara. As it turns out, Steve has a Harley and invited us for a ride. Yesterday, we went with him to South Hero...an island in Lake Champlain. The secnery along the way was very pretty.

There are lots of farms in Vermont...mostly dairy farms.

We passed several "lawn sales" along the way.

The view as we crossed the bridge to Hero.

The lake shoreline is lined with homes and boats of all sizes and shapes.

This is Lake Champlain with the Adirondeck Mountains in the background.

We stopped at Hero's Welcome for lunch....a great bakery and cafe. You order at the store and can either eat inside or walk across the street and eat by the water. We opted for the fresh air. The weather here is so nice. Thanks Steve for a fun day!
