Joe and I have settled into a busy and relaxing routine here in Moab. It's great being here and we are especially enjoying our time with Dee on her property at Gopher Flats in Spanish Valley. Our good friends, Jim and Barb Horne, are also here. It's beautiful with sunrise views of the LaSal Mountains to the east and sunset views of Moab Rim to the west. It's quiet and peaceful and a friendly neighborhood setting with more good friends, Jeff and Susan, two doors down. And if thats not just perfect, friends Dave and Lynn are spending the month in Moab (They have a site at Portal RV Resort.) to do some wheeling.
Our first wheeling day with Lynn and Dave was a MFFW work day on Kane Creek Trail. Its a beautiful, difficult trail that was in need of trail marking and GPS coordinates for "You Are Here" signs. We spent the day adding reflective tape, cutting back overgrown branches, and getting necessary coordinates as we watched the clouds carefully.

Of course, all work and no play makes for a dull day. Here Melissa, our club president, crawls a huge boulder in a tight squeeze.
And Glen makes the "high" side look easy.

So, until next time, happy trails !
