Our puppies are beginning to settle into a new routine and time zone. Jack has been very insistent that 4:00 pm is dinner time, but he isn't winning that battle. He actually had dinner at 5:10 yesterday and slept until 7:00 am this morning...yipee!
The KOA here is one of our favorite places to stay. The park is full of lush, green grass, tall trees...mostly eucalyptus trees with beautiful white/gray smooth bark, and a wonderful variety of colorful flowers.
After a very rainy and chilly day Thursday, we woke up to sunshine and warmer weather on Friday. It wasn't hard to figure out what to do...the doggie beach was calling and we went ! Coronado Dog Beach is our favorite doggie beach EVER ! It's big and it's clean. There are always pups and people there, but it never seems crowded and Jack can play ball with very little interference from other pups. Running and fetching is exactly how he spent the morning...
Even Sally was feeling frisky.
We saw quite a few sand dollars. The wet sand looked like it had gold glitter in it. We have never noticed that before. Any ideas as to what it might be?
It's always a pretty view looking back at Hotel del Coronado...
and seeing Point Loma.
I LOVE doggie beach day. Other than the tide pools, it's my favorite thing to do in San Diego.
Until next time,
HAPPY TRAILS !
Wow, those close up pics are great!
ReplyDeleteSan Diego is one city Betsy has not been to :( perhaps next year.
If the Tan clan is happy Im sure the parents are to with the beach views.
Oh yes, I love doggie beach day MonaLiza. It makes my heart so happy to,see our pups running and playing at the beach.
DeleteI love walking in this park. There is always something to photograph!
What a great day at the beach for the whole family:) Love seeing Sally doing zoomies! Jack and his ball is so cute. That does look like a beautiful KOA. Enjoy your month!
ReplyDeleteSally was feeling especially energetic at the beach. What a hoot it was watching her. And Jack was non stop.....he even asked total strangers to throw the ball! The KOA has a good monthly rate. Of course we miss those gorgeous sunsets you get at Mission Bay.
DeleteDoggie Beach Day looks like it is the favorite thing the Tan Gang likes to do! Glad you are safe and settled in. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! It's good to hear from you.
DeleteWhat fun for sure. We love San Diego which makes me wonder why we haven't spent more time there.
ReplyDeleteJanuary in San Diego is a nice change from the desert...but the desert is still my favorite! I'm always excited to return to the arid climate!
DeleteThree wet, sandy, happy pups, what's not to love!
ReplyDeleteAnd very tired pups when we got home!
DeleteAh, happy pups, happy humans!
ReplyDeleteWe'll work on finding a good time for a lunch meetup before we leave SD. We're at Mission bay till 2/3, then we spend a couple of nights at Sweetwater before we leave the area.
Awesome Lisa! We will pull out on Feb 1 and head back to Tucson.
DeleteLooks the tan crew had a ball. I wish there were more dog friendly beaches around.
ReplyDeleteI so agree Gayle!
